The dahlia garden in November, December and January is not too exciting, to say the least.  Many people focus on the holidays and leave it alone.  Others fret to no avail.  Enjoy the holidays!!!  Then when there is a nice day, you can dig and divide if you choose to.

One of our members uses this time to develop the soil for next year's planting.


Curtis digs his plants earlier than many people.  He then adds manure to  his beds, giving it time to mellow.  Next year he will til the manure into the soil.
